[Python-talk] book recommendations?

I think Python Cookbook is a good book to read after Learning Python
;-) and an excellent way to learn idiomatic Python. I haven't seen the
3rd edition of LP or PP but my guess is it is not worth upgrading. (The
best way to keep up with what is new in Python is the What's New section
of the docs that come out with each new release.)
You might like Python in a Nutshell as a reference. Dive into Python is
another popular book, it is also available online.
