Look for the "Historical code" section, see
http://wermenh.com/roses/tkorig.py for a freestanding program
and http://wermenh.com/roses/tkroses.py which also needs
http://wermenh.com/roses/clroses.py .  That's common code that is also
used by the wxPython version.
