Generally, the notes deserve an A+ ...

As a Footnote, are there any books that you (guys)
are particularly interested in at the 
Beginner,
Intermediate or
Advanced (such as applications) level ???

The notes look very good.  Some additional points to consider:

        greater emphasis on portability (It's in your notes, but could
        be made more prominent.  You can take Python code with you when
        migrating to a new environment.)
        
        parameter handling in function calls ( default-values *args **kwds )
        Perhaps this is too low level, but I find it invaluable.
        
        are generators and co-routines worth a mention?
