PyPI = Python Package Index = Cheese Shop (after the Monty Python sketch
in which, actually, there is no cheese)
http://www.python.org/pypi

This is a centralized, searchable archive of third-party Python
packages. The closest thing Python has to CPAN. (Not saying it is close,
just closest ;) Add the RSS feed to your favorite RSS aggregator to
easily keep an eye on what is new in the world of Python add-ons. (And
please, nobody say, "What's an RSS aggregator" :-) It probably is worth
10 minutes. I would volunteer but I don't think I will be at the meeting
this month.
