SharePoint 2.0 tracks users who check out the document and when, to bring it
to the next level you can research NextPage or the newer features in
SharePoint 3.0

Hello there,
I'm just curious.
Does SharePoint collaboration and file sharing work like SourceSafe?
Does SharePoint allow more than one user to save changes to a Word or
Excel file unwittingly. Does SharePoint keep track of who made what
changes? Does it try to merge the changes?
Would "Google Docs & Spreadsheets" have those same features?
