[DLSLUG-Discuss] Metadot - or Other Ideas

Hi All,
I've been asked to set something up similar to MS's Sharepoint Server for portal/intranet/file sharing via web.
Needless to say I'm not going to setup a MS Sharepoint server. 
Anyone have any recommendations?
I've briefly checked out Metadot which is open source.
