[DLSLUG-Discuss] Linux mailserver distro

I'm looking for a mailserver-specific distribution of Linux. Something
that builds an "appliance" with an MTA, spam filtering and virus
filtering. There have been some mailserver-specific distributions in the
past, but they never matured into something useful before being
abandoned.

Does anyone know if there is something maintained and useful out there?

If not, is anyone interested in helping me and a friend build an
appliance distribution? There are some nice firewall appliance
distributions, a mailserver would be an excellent and useful project.
